A CHARTER ORDINANCE AMENDING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO.8 OF THE CITY OF HOISINGTON, KANSAS, PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT AND INCREASING THE LIMITATION OF TAX LEVY FOR LIBRARY PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF HOISINGTON, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. In accordance with the authority granted to cities by Article 12, Section 5, of the Kansas Constitution providing for amendment of an existing charter ordinance by a subsequent charter ordinance, the City of Hoisington hereby amends Charter Ordinance No. 8 as provided herein.

SECTION 2. The governing body of the City of Hoisington, Kansas, is hereby authorized and empowered to levy a tax for library purposes in each year not to exceed eight (8) mills.

SECTION 5. Upon the effective date of this charter ordinance, Section 2 of Charter Ordinance No.8, shall be repealed.
